WELCOME TO ZOYA DESIGNS SEWING SCHOOL

Zoya Designs is excited to offer this fun and useful service – sewing courses for all ages and all levels of expertise!  Whether you are a beginner or familiar with sewing but want to gain more skills and knowledge, these classes are for you! 

Classes are transferrable. Classes are not refundable, full nor partial. While there are many options to make up a missed session, make-up sessions are not guaranteed. There needs to be a minimum of 3 students in a class for the session to take place (refund or transfer will be offered if the session will not be held).


KIDS SEWING Workshop: MAKING A T-SHIRT QUILT, 3-week (ages 7-12) Wednesdays, April 2 - April 16, 4:15pm - 6:30pm, 2025

This is a wonderful workshop to upcycle those favorite t-shirts into a simple and beautiful quilt! Supplies needed: 12 t-shirts, cotton quilting fabric for the back of the quilt. Batting and sewing machines will be provided by the studio.

Some knowledge of sewing machine operation would be preferred, but not necessary.

(we will need at least 3 students enrolled to run the sessions. If there would not be a sufficient amount of students, all enrolled students will be contacted to discuss options of either transferring to a later class or refund for the session)


HOME DECOR WORKSHOP 3-week course, Mondays, 4:30-6:30pm, March 24 -April 7, 2025

We are excited to offer this course with the focus on Home Décor! We will make pillows with embellishments, like cords and fringes, including advanced patterns and fabric manipulations. We will also learn how to create drapes with pleats, and roman shades.

Prerequisites: BEGINNER course OR solid basic knowledge of sewing (know how to operate sewing machine and create simple projects)

Get a thorough introduction to basic sewing and garment construction skills and theory with this Basic Sewing class! Over the course, students will become familiar with different machine stitches and their functions and maintenance, the use of chalk, rulers, scissors, & pins, different hand seams and finishes, attaching buttons, hooks & eyes, and elastic, and how to create a project from a concept to a pattern to a finished product.
You can learn on our machines or bring your own! ($25 fee per 5-week course will be applied if you choose using school's sewing machines)


ADULT SEWING Workshop: MAKING A T-SHIRT QUILT, 3-week (ages 14+) Mondays, April 28- May 12, 5:30pm - 7:45pm, 2025

BEGINNER CRASH COURSE, 1st THURSDAY of every month 6:15pm-8:30pm.

This is an intensive session on how to use a sewing machine, troubleshoot possible problems and jams, how to use different stitching techniques and create a quick project. This class is all you will need to start sewing!

All materials are provided. If you have your own sewing machine, please bring it along with accessories and manual. If you do not have sewing machine, you may rent it from the school for additional $5.

*If you cannot attend the session for which you are registered, you may transfer ONCE to the next session. If you do not attend that session either, you forfeit your registration.*


DROP-IN SEWCIAL, 3rd THURSDAY of every month, 6 pm - 8 pm
from $40.00

This is a casual drop-in session for those who already have a basic knowledge of sewing. In this free-form social, you could come in and sew something your project with the help of instructor and the fellow crafters. It might be something simple or something you’ve been working on before. Come and create with us, socialize, and get some ideas and inspiration!

(we will need at least 3 students enrolled to run each month’s SEWCIAL. If there would not be a sufficient amount of students, all enrolled students will be automatically transferred to the next month’s session)

DROP-IN SEWCIAL, Weekly, Mondays 1pm-3:30pm (monthly tuition)

This is a casual drop-in session for those who already have a basic knowledge of sewing. In this free-form social, you could come in and sew something with the help of instructor and the fellow crafters. It might be something simple or something you’ve been working on before. Come and create with us, socialize, and get some ideas and inspiration!

(Class meets every Monday except for Federal holidays, 5th Mondays, and weather-related closures)
